Troublemakers
At the heart of the video was the icosahedron—a shape that symbolized the multifaceted nature of TCS’s researchers. Our challenge was to explore and combine different animation techniques, merging 2D and 3D elements to create a narrative that was as dynamic and innovative as the researchers themselves.
Drawing inspiration from the icosahedron, we built the animation around this geometric form, using it as a central motif throughout the video. Our team experimented with various animation styles to create a seamless blend of 2D and 3D, ensuring that each transition was fluid and added depth to the overall narrative.
Original techniques were employed to express the creative processes that define “The Troublemakers,” resulting in an animation that was both visually striking and conceptually rich. The video captured the essence of pushing creative limits, mirroring the innovative work of the researchers.
The final video was a unique blend of 2D and 3D animation, offering a depth and complexity that perfectly matched the spirit of the TCS research team. It stood out for its ability to seamlessly integrate different animation styles, making it a highlight in both TCS’s and Concreate’s portfolio.
This project exemplified Concreate’s capability to deliver high-quality, boundary-pushing animation, reflecting the innovative spirit of the researchers it was designed to represent.
